National Purchasing Manager | Aggreko, LLC | New Iberia, LA

motivated, creative, team and customer service
oriented National Purchasing Manager. When you join the

- The Aggreko National Purchasing Manager is responsible for directing and
coordinating activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and
equipment, machinery, and supplies in the organization.
- Manages all purchasing responsibilities and facilitates all process and
procedures in Movex (ERP system)
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future
material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company
policy.
- Develops and installs clerical and office procedures and practices, and
studies work flow, sequence of operations, and office arrangement to
determine expediency of installing new or improved office machines.
- Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.
- Negotiates and secures national agreements with vendors for products and
services used throughout the company.
- Assesses vendor qualifications, conducts quality audits, and maintains
appropriate vendor data.
- Coordinates material needs, delivery schedules, lead times, and on hand
supplies with production and materials management personnel.
- Resolves discrepancies in vendor terms, shipments and performance.
- Tracks and monitors capital spending and assists in forecasting
expenditures.
- Initiates cost savings initiatives and tracks results.
- Maintains relationships with vendors, networks with other Purchasing
team members, and stays abreast of industry trends.
The desired background for this position includes:
- Must have at least 5 years of previous management experience in a
purchasing position with national responsibility
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or
ten to fifteen years related experience with 5 years management
experience in the area of purchasing, accounting and materials control.
- Must have extensive knowledge of purchasing ERP systems
